[2013] Montreaux, Switzerland (Route Gourmand)

A beautiful day in the vineyards outside of Montreaux.
Route Gourmand. I believe we were the earliest to check in and one of the last people to finish the route.
This was not Becky's first rodeo, so she was excited even before it began!
Now I know why. My favourite thing was the pouches for the wine glasses. So practical.

[2013] Sion, Switzerland

Last year our bible study group went on a retreat to Sion for a weekend. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. We played games, ate food, chatted and got to know each other a little bit better. We also went into the hot tub at night and it was FREEZING!

[2012] Bavarian Road trip with Billy and Nate

Zurich --> Basel --> Leysin --> Zermatt --> Neuschwanstein Castle --> Munich --> St. Gilgen --> Salzburg --> Basel

It's always so nice when friends visit. This trip was a bromantic road trip that I crashed for the most part. We visited places that we've been before, but it was so much more fun with great company and with people who appreciated it all.

Can't wait for Nate's ukulele single to be recorded about this trip

[2012-2014] Construction Zone Park Basel, Switzerland

We have gone to this little park behind our house countless times to catch up with the Rawsons. You can always count on them being there on a Sunday afternoon, and we'd usually just walk over without calling to catch them for some family time. It's actually the perfect setting for a mini photoshoot, so we usually took our camera with us. It is probably one of the coolest little parks I've ever seen. An amazing (but dangerous) jungle gym, ropes course, climbing wall and slide. It looks like an abandoned house that they converted into a park. It's amazing to see how much Roran has grown.

The imminent departure of the Rawson's makes Hayes and I start to realize how much like family these guys have become.

We will miss them so much! What will we now do on a lazy Sunday afternoon? Let alone the fact that we will need to move our GoT viewings to another place and I'm losing my co-organizer for TEDx and Amazing race. Big Sigh.

Update -- Said our "goodbyes/see you laters" today and I held it altogether, until the moment they left. It took a good 20 minutes of weeping to feel alright again. T.T

Love you all!!! xoxo Can't wait till we meet again.

[2013] Zermatt, Switzerland

Our first ski weekend in November 2013 was to Zermatt and it was the perfect start to the season. (Thanks Jeff and Ginelle for the tip)
The only problem that I struggled with was that it took so long to get onto the slopes. You park in a parking lot, then take a train up to Zermatt than take a bus to the ski lift and then a really long gondola....
It felt like hours from just the car to the top of the runs.

That aside, it was really enjoyable. We went a little crazy trying to take photos of the Matterhorn, which turned out only OK in comparison to the real view when you're there. We even serendipitously ran into some familiar faces and enjoyed some great Rosti before heading back to Basel together.
